Frances Jeanette Floyd Whitmore

McMinnville, TN resident Frances Jeanette Floyd Whitmore, age 83, was born October 21, 1940 and passed away peacefully November 20, 2023 at the Webb House Retirement Center following an extended illness. 

A retired employee of Oster and member of McMinnville First Free Will Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruby Lewis Floyd. She was married to Thomas Daniel Whitmore on August 15, 1981 who preceded her in death on January 17, 2017. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by first husband, Stephan Rudolph Lorenz and siblings, Flora Ruth Sullivan and Cleve Floyd.

Mrs. Whitmore is survived by special niece, Sheila (Michael) Smith of McMinnville, TN; step-sons, Bryan Scott (Shellie) Whitmore of Indiana and Todd Alan Whitmore of Missouri; three step-grandchildren, Abbiegail, Allison and Andrew Whitmore; brother, Edgar Lee (Peggy) Floyd of Gleason, TN; sister, Louise Fults of McMinnville, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special family friend, Roger Yates.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Bill Eversole and Brett Cook officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. for family only, 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. for the public and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
