Frankie "Gwen" McMillen

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Frankie “Gwen” McMillen, age 80, was born September 23, 1942 and died June 28, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.

A retired seamstress with Hale’s Dry Cleaners and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Davenport Bain. She was married to Garland McMillen on June 31, 1961 who preceded her in death on June 23, 2012. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Timothy Lynn McMillen; siblings, Robert Bain, W.A. Bain, Edward Bain, Frances Knowles, Marie King and Irene Bain and an infant sister.

Mrs. McMillen is survived by two sons, Carl Anthony McMillen and Steve (Melissa) McMillen, both of McMinnville, TN; four grandchildren, Katherine Furbee, Cameron Furbee, Christa Godwin and Tyler Womack; two great-grandchildren, Ryder Woodlee and Wrenley Woodlee and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Delbert Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
