Gary Allen Davis

McMinnville, TN resident.

It is with heavy hearts we announced the passing of Gary Allen Davis on June 14, 2025. He was 72 years old.

His presence and personality left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Born in Peoria, Illinois on May 22, 1953, Gary was the son of Clarence and Doris Davis who preceded him in death.

Gary spent much of his life working at Caterpillar and later Alcoa. After retirement, Gary picked up a love for photography and later a love of yoga, fitness, and exercise. He was the kind of guy who would travel with his camera and yoga mat.

Gary lived independently later in life. He could be funny, frustrating, and stubborn- sometimes all at once. But to those who knew him, he was deeply loyal. Friends knew that they could count on Gary even if it came with strong opinions.

Gary is survived by his two brothers Denny Davis (Donna) and Greg Davis (Wendy).

As well as 3 children, Amy Shields, Carmen Davis, And Craig Davis (Rachel). There were also 11 grandchildren, Justin (Amanda) Adams, Chloe Davis, Kinsey Shields, John Shields, Easton Schneider, Gibson Schneider, Gavin Dellinger, Jadyn Davis, McKenzie Davis, Adalyn Dellinger, and Layla Dellinger. There were 2 great-grandchildren, Aria Adams and Astria Adams.

Gary had a circle of friends who will remember and appreciate his little quirks, love of yoga, loud leggings and headbands. But mostly, they will remember the friendship and the loyalty that they shared with him.

Gary Davis, you will be missed.

A celebration of Gary‘s life will be held at Westwood Church of Christ in the chapel, on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Davis will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
