Gary Scott Cantrell

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Gary Scott Cantrell, age 65, was born January 24, 1957 and died April 6, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. A heavy equipment operator, he was the son of Gilda Gipson Cantrell of McMinnville, TN and the late James Kenneth “Peanut” Cantrell. He was married to Tammy Cantrell of McMinnville, TN on November 7, 1980. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Cantrell is survived by son, Garrett Bennett Cantrell of Cookeville, TN; brother, Brent Cantrell of McMinnville, TN; niece, Lindsey (Dustin) Hillis of Atlanta, GA; several other nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mechelle Walker (Ronnie McMinn) of McMinnville, TN and brother-in-law, Rusty (Vickie) Dodd of McMinnville, TN. Per Mr. Cantrell’s wishes, he will be cremated. Visitation will be Saturday April, 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at High’s. No service will be held at High’s.
