Gunery Sgt. George Sidney Lee Retired

McMinnville, TN resident and Bakersville, CA native Gunery Sgt. George Sidney Lee Retired, age 62, was born June 2, 1963 and died October 9, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

A retired truck driver and member of the Centertown United Methodist Church, he was a United States Marine Corps veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He was the son of Marguerite Joyce Lee of McMinnville, TN and the late Albert W. Lee. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by son, George Sidney Lee, II.

He was married to Beth Lee of McMinnville, TN. In addition to his wife and mother, Sgt. Lee Retired is survived by daughter, Mary Beth (Dan) Trout of Lafayette, IN; grandson, Xavier Siddall; brother, Mark DiChristina of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Yvonne (Ricky) Christopher and Karen (Ted) Parsley, both of McMinnville, TN and Debra Wilson of Morrison, TN; nieces, Yasminda (Carey) Wolfe, Kari Yokley, Michelle Lynn, Esperanza (Michael) Siddall & Jennie (Matt) Homer; nephews, Michael (Nina) Parsley, Nathaniel (Suzanne) Parsley, Casey Christopher, Jose Rodriguez, Thomas George (Eonjeong) Wilson, Kyle (Nicole) Brown, Sean (Brittany) Parsley, Kirk (McKenzie) Parsley, Kris Parsley (Brenda Ramirez) and Manuel Lewis; numerous cousins; several great-grand nephews and great-grand nieces; special service dog, Okie and many other fur babies; mother-in-law, MariAn Jacobs; brother-in-law, Ivan Osment and sister-in-law, Anne (Jeff) Tubb.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2025 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Samuel Coats officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High’s.

Full military honors will be administered by the Bobby Ray Detachment of the Marine Corps League.
