Gladys Marie Thompson Morgan

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Gladys Marie Thompson Morgan, age 99, was born February 10, 1923 and died June 19, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Batesville Casket Company and member of Ivy Bluff Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Calvin and Lillie Mae Abel Thompson. She was married August 26, 1939 to Ernest E. Morgan who preceded her in death January 12, 1997. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Elaine McCullough and Mary Sandra Morgan and three sisters, Arlene Lewis, Della Holloway and Pauline Gossette. Mrs. Morgan is survived by one son, Terry R. Morgan of Texas; six grandchildren, Jay Johnson, Lynette (Bryan) Nix, Mae Anne (Brandon) Hale and Jonathan (Karen) McCullough all of Coffee County, TN and Angelia Morgan and Aaron (Jennifer) Morgan both of Aiken, SC; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Ella (Paul) Wooten of Chattanooga, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 in High's Chapel with Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Ivy Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
