Gregory Ross Smartt

McMinnville resident and native Gregory Ross Smartt, age 60, was born December 5, 1960 and died February 27, 2026 at his residence following an extended illness. 

A self-employed nurseryman, he was the son of the late William (Mary) Smartt and Christine Bates Wimley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Anderson Smartt; granddaughter, Nashea Smartt; sister, Emily Wimley and father-in-law, Charles Anderson. 

Mr. Smartt is survived by children, Brandy (Jeremy) Brooks and Latisha Johnson, all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Taylor (Bailey) Moore, Jordan Muncey, Hunter Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Christian Brooks and Ada Brooks; great-grandchildren, Kentlee, Charliegh, Reese, Cheyanne, Ryatt and Lucy; brother, Russell (Lori) Smartt of Irving College; mother-in-law, Helen Anderson of McMinnville; special brother-in-law, Joey (Shannon) Anderson and special nephew, Caleb Smartt. 

Per his wishes, Mr. Smartt will be cremated. a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
