Hallie Youlanda Slaughter Warren

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Hallie Youlanda Slaughter Warren, age 93, was born June 5, 1932 and died March 26, 2026 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Grace Fults Slaughter. She was married to Jewell Brown Warren on July 19, 1952 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Hughey Slaughter, Genevia Smartt, Leon Slaughter, Laura Smartt, Alma Barnes, J.E. Slaughter, Lodema Slaughter, Charles Slaughter, Frances Butcher, Eva Nell Bess, and Wilma Brock.

Mrs. Warren is survived by children: Doug (Elaine) Warren and Barbara (Michael) Austin, both of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Krista (Jon) Kent, Brett Warren, Jason (Susan) Austin, John (Camryn) Austin and Nicole (Bronson) Pearson; great-grandchildren, Merci Kent, Karis Kent, Luke Austin, Mason Pearson, Beckett Pearson and Baylor Pearson and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Harlen Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
