Harvey William Dillard

McMinnville, TN resident and Gary, IN native Harvey William Dillard, age 82, was born June 29, 1941 and died October 20, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.

A retired line operator with Magnetek, he was the son of the late Marion “Bud” and Doris “Bird” Brace Dillard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Harvey and Hazel Brace and Frank and Lula Dillard; son, Harvey "Hobby" Reed Dillard; brother, Douglas Dillard and sister, Muriel Long.

Mr. Dillard is survived by daughter, Dawn (Billy) Hairrell of Knoxville, TN; grandchild, Peytan Sutherland; great-granddaughter, Dawsyn Sutherland; brother, Robin Dillard of McMinnville, TN; sister, Shairy Lambert of Lake Station, IN; special aunt, Pat Belker; special friend and nephew, Jason (Amanda) Jacobs and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
