Helen Mae Carter

St. Augustine, FL resident and Warren County, TN native Helen Mae Carter, age 93, was born June 10, 1930 and died December 25, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

Retired co-owner of Carter’s Upholstery Company, she was the daughter of the late William and Flora Hill Sweeney. She was married to Edward Thomas Carter, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Beulah Ferrell.

Mrs. Carter is survived by daughter, Sandra (James) Catron of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, James E. (Afsana) Catron, Greg Catron and Jason (Charina) Catron, all of St. Augustine, FL; great-grandson, Carter Catron and sister, Reba Dunlap of McMinnville, TN.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. There will be no service or visitation at High Funeral Home. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.
