McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native Jacine Denton, age 81, was born October 17, 1940 and died October 26, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired CNA from NHC Healthcare, member of the Apostolic Ark where she was the church pianist for many years, and avid genealogist, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Zada Bell Coppinger Wanamaker. She was married to Jerry Bryan Denton, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 29, 1999. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jessica Slaughter; 3 brothers, Jakie, Jimmy Gilbert, and Carl Wanamaker; and two sisters, Christine Cox and Joyce Jones. Mrs. Denton is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Bryan and Amy Denton, Jr. and Richard Stephen Denton, both of McMinnville, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Julia Jacine and Carl Slaughter and Roxann Campbell, both of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren, Beth, Becki, Natasha, Holly, Kenny, and Jacob; seven great-grandchildren, Kade, Chase, Bryson, Keera, Kayley, Ember, and Ellie; and special son, Jack Holland. Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2001 at Shiloh Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Terry Wanamaker officiating. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery. No visitation or service will be held at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
