James Edward Locke

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native James Edward Locke, age 76, was born September 8, 1946 and died October 28, 2022 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness. A retired truck driver and logger and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late “Boots” and Bonnie Locke. He was married to Donna Locke of McMinnville, TN on March 10, 1975. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Locke and Howard Locke and sister, Betty Frances Martin. In addition to his wife, Mr. Locke is survived by two daughters, Susan (Jeff) Smith of Rock Island, TN and Tisha (Nick) Holt of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren, Brittany (Michael) Jones, Tori (Clint) Miles, Micha Gentry, Taylor (Aaron) McClure, Macayla Ferrell and Madison Ferrell; twelve great-grandchildren, Kylan, Emma, Chaise, Britlyn, Everly, Zoey, Raylie, Lux, Ellis, Kacelyn, Rhett and Karlee; several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Cindy (John) Pearson of Morrison, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Chris Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County, TN.
