James Rodney Coleman

McMinnville, TN resident and Davidson County, TN native, James Rodney Coleman, age 83, was born April 20, 1939 and died December 4, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness.           

A retired United States Army veteran and retired employee of A.O. Smith, he was the son of the late Marvin and Sally Minton Coleman.  He was married to Janice Coleman of McMinnville, TN on April 24, 1988.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings and step-son, Jeremy Paris.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Coleman is survived by son, Terry (Tammy) Coleman of LaVergne, TN; step-daughter, Jennifer Paris of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Zachary Coleman; three great-granddaughters; step-grandson, Justin Wilson; step-granddaughter, Brandi (Jeffrey) Brasch and very special friends, Tamara Puller, Tristan Myers, Izzy Puller and Carley Wilson.

Per Mr. Coleman’s wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
