James Weismore

McMinnville

McMinnville resident and Lincoln, NY native James Weismore, age 87, was born August 18, 1936 and died June 15, 2024 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following a brief illness. 

A veteran of the United States Navy, retired electrician with Merchant Marines and a member of the Baptist church, he was the son of the late Donald Charles and Beatrice Elizabeth Raynor Weismore, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Donna Jo Raylea. 

He was married to Doris Elizabeth Graham of McMinnville on December 31, 1956. In addition to his wife, Mr. Weismore is survived by children, James Robert Weismore, Jr. of McMinnville, Ethan Chad Weismore and Terry Ernest Weismore, both of Morrison, TN, Cheryl Elyse Myers and Nicole Dyan Smith, both of McMinnville and Patricia Ledger of AZ; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marion Weismore of Morrisville, NY and Betsy (Donald) Ellis of NC and several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High’s. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.

Burial will follow at Centertown Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High’s. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
