Janet Rae Murray Chisam

McMinnville, TN resident and Big Auger, West Virginia native Janet Rae Murray Chisam, age 86, was born August 11, 1935 and died September 14, 2021 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired factory worker from DeZurik and a member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Rose. She was married to Robert Chisam who preceded her in death in 2014. Mrs. Chisam is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Karen & Elmer Davidson of Jonesborough, TN; granddaughter, Sheri Davidson (Tim Doll) of Berwind, West Virginia; sister, Bettie Short of Springfield, VA; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Darryl Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Old Bybee Chapel Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
