Janice Lenora Dodd

McMinnville, TN resident and Atlanta, GA native, Janice Lenora Dodd, age 82, was born February 18, 1940 and died September 30, 2022 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness. A retired factory worker from McMinnville Garment Company and a member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Anderson “Tiny” and Laura Baker Thrower, Sr. She was married to J.W. Johnson, Jerry Beaty and John “Bill” Dodd all who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by brother, Anderson "Buddy" Thrower, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Teresa Johnson. Ms. Dodd is survived by daughter, Tammy Young of McMinnville, TN; son, Henry Johnson of McMinnville, TN; three grandchildren, Courtney Johnson, Scottie Reed (Tisha Poteete) and Tiffany Reed all of McMinnville, TN; adopted granddaughter, Carol Jennings of McMinnville, TN; four great-grandchildren, Deluca Reed, Darwin Reed, Willobelle Reed and Georgia Poteete and niece, Shelia Brown (Janella Gulick) of McMinnville, TN. Graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, 2022 at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with Drew Milligan officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at High Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
