Janis Lynn Mason

Janis Lynn Mason, age 79, a Quebeck, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born December 9, 1941 and died September 8, 2021 at Ascension St. Thomas Highlands Hospital in Sparta following an extended illness. She was a retired inspector with Wagner Electric, a member of the Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Will Ed and Josie McGregor Warren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, William Edward “Sonny” Warren, Jr. and brothers-in-law, Charles McBride and Sonny Roberts. Mrs. Mason is survived by husband, James Robert “Jimmy” Mason of Quebeck, TN; three children and spouses, Byron (Sharron) Mason of Walling, TN, Janet (Tracy) Kirby of Sparta, TN, and Barry Edward (Debbie) Mason of Walling, TN; five grandchildren, Mary Beth (Adam) Price, Tisha (Will) Pelfrey, Beka (Josh) Christy, Tyler (Michelle) Mason, and Trey Kirby; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters and brother-in-law, Melba McBride of Tullahoma, TN, Kay (Richard) Hobbs of McMinnville, TN, and Queita Roberts of McMinnville, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Eugene Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in White County. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at High’s.
