Jason Todd

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Jason Todd, age 51, was born October 22, 1974 and died November 14, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.

An employee with the City of Murfreesboro Fleet Services, he was the son of Julius Todd and Joy Dodd Key, both of McMinnville, TN. He was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Pam Smartt; step-father, David Key; grandfather, Willie James Dodd and grandmother, Mary Jane Dodd.

He was married to April Womack Todd of McMinnville, TN on December 30, 1995. In addition to his wife and parents, Jason is survived by children, Madison (Dakota) Bond, Kyle Todd and Jase Todd, all of McMinnville, TN; grandchild, Cooper Bond; brothers, Jamie (Ericka) Todd of Inman, SC and Greg Todd of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Cristi Morales and Melissa Tate, both of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Eugene Womack; brother-in-law, Andy Womack and sister-in-law, Ashley Moon (Paul Moser).

Jason loved dirt track racing. He raced for over 30 years across multiple divisions and won more than 300 races in his lifetime. He was best known as “The King” of mini stocks in his day. His passion for racing was so strong that he was always willing to help anyone who asked.

When he wasn’t racing, Jason enjoyed traveling with his wife, April Todd, his childhood sweetheart. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Cooper. Every time Cooper said “Pop Pop,” it lit up Jason’s day.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Nathan Jones officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Mr. Todd will be cremated following the service.
