Jedediah "Jed" David Shoemaker

Rock Island, TN resident and Lafayette, IN native Jedediah “Jed” David Shoemaker, age 48, was born September 30, 1977 and died October 13, 2025 at his residence following a brief illness.

A former concrete worker with Hugh Curtis, he was the son of Carl and Alma Shoemaker of Rock Island, TN. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Floyd Winton and Mary Helen Bouldin and Beatrice and Paul Peden.

In addition to his parents, Jed is survived by siblings, Carrie Shoemaker of TX and Paul Winton Shoemaker of Rock Island, TN; niece and nephews, Robert Apgar, Anthony (Tatum) Willingham and Kyle (Shelby) Winton Shoemaker, all of TX and Erinshay (Ethan) Boyd of AR; several great-nieces and great-nephew and aunts and uncles, Phyllis and Dennis Parks of Lafayette, IN, Floyd William and Mary Bouldin of McMinnville, TN and Mary Ann and Tim Schaffer of Rock Island, TN.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring Hearts United or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
