Jeffery "Jeff" Paul Walker

Jeffery “Jeff” Paul Walker passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2023. Although arguably the most humble person, he was the center of our universe.  He spent his entire life loving racing – truly loving racing. He spent most of his evenings either working on his racecar or talking to his countless friends about racing. His love of racing was only surpassed by his love for his family. We never doubted his love. He told us and showed us every day. He would end all conversations with “I love you more” and gave the kind of hugs that changed the course of our days. They were tight, really tight, and all-consuming. He will be known as the son and brother who was the “rock” of the family. He will be remembered as the daddy who called his only daughter every day and filled her with more joy than he will ever know. He will be remembered as the Pop who cheered the loudest at his oldest grandson’s only homerun and touchdown to date, took his only granddaughter on special early morning doughnut runs, and made his youngest grandson cackle with laughter by telling the most ridiculous knock-knock jokes. He loved his wife unconditionally and let her know by leaving her love notes every morning. Daddy – I promise to always save you the last bite of peanut butter, to raise my bunnies to be kind, humble and faithful, and to catch every sunrise living out our morning ritual. Forever, 49.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in McMinnville, TN with Ryan Heatherly officiating. No service or visitation will be held at High Funeral Home.
