Jennie Adell Briggs

McMinnville, TN resident and Detroit, MI native Jennie Adell Briggs, age 89, was born November 25, 1933 and died May 29, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Preston and Iva May Brown Truax. She was married to Duane B. Briggs, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1997. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by children, Billie Laliberte Stanfield, Rocky Bruce and Stoney Bruce.

Mrs. Briggs is survived great-grandchildren, Raven York, Adam Laliberte and Camille Laliberte, all of McMinnville, TN and Devin Bruce of Michigan and great-great-grandchildren, Abigail York, Adelyn Hindman and Shawn Bruce.

Per Mrs. Briggs wishes, she will be cremated.

Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. No service or visitation will be held at High’s. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.
