Jenry Lewis "Sonny" Delaney

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jenry Lewis "Sonny" Delaney, age 72, was born February 12, 1953 and died December 11, 2025 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN following a brief illness.

A retired forklift driver/supervisor with Carrier Corp. and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Jenry Delaney, Sr. and the late Ruth Muncey Delaney Vickers.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-father, Joe Edward Vickers;  siblings, Sarah Milstead, Billy Thomas Delaney, Linda Muller and Ruth Ellen Pack and former wife, Martha Adcock.

Mr. Delaney is survived by one son, Jenry Thomas Delaney (Carol Abston) of Sparta, TN;  three grandchildren, Jenry Daniel Delaney of Dickson, TN, Brianna Nichole Delaney of Manchester, TN, Laura Rose Delaney of Lebanon, TN and Ryan Hunter of Tullahoma, TN;  10 great-grandchildren;  sister, Polly Bratcher of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's.
