Jeremy Dale Smartt

McMinnville resident and Rutherford County, TN native Jeremy Dale Smartt, age 47, was born November 5, 1975 and passed away suddenly on July 10, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  He is now resting in his mother's arms.           

A construction worker with W & O Construction and member of Oasis Church, he was the son of Dale C. Smartt of McMinnville and the late Linda Daniel Smartt.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Shelby Griffin and Tennie T. Smartt and James William and Emma Jane Richardson Daniel. 

In addition to his father Dale C. Smartt, Jeremy is survived by daughters, Shelby Smartt and Madison (Zackary) Taylor; sister, Amanda Smartt and partner, Jessica and their daughter Addy; step-mother, Billie Jo Smartt;  special friend, Barbara Jean Edington and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. 

Jeremy had a very big heart and always took up for the under dogs. His dog Diesel helped him in difficult times and he will be greatly missed. 

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Burial will follow at Armstrong Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
