Joe B. Martin

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joe B. Martin, age 84, was born February 5, 1937 and died September 28, 2021 following a sudden illness at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. A retired manufacturing engineer from Powermatic, Magnetek, and Carrier and member of Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Burr and Leola Prater Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Meeks. Mr. Martin survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cogi and John Sparkman of Knoxville, TN and Nichol and John Vaden of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Richardson of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews; and mother of his children, Jean C. Martin of McMinnville, TN. Graveside service and inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Richard O’Conner officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. No visitation or service will be held at High’s.
