John Berry "J.B." Brown

John Berry “J.B.” Brown completed his journey here on earth on Monday, April 20, 2026. He began his journey 86 years ago on October 26, 1939 in Warren County. He was the first-born child of John Wesley and Rebecca Webb brown, who preceded him in death.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Ann Brown; three children, Teresa (Ed) Brock, Tonia (Daniel) Valezquez and John Berry (Carla) Brown, Jr.; three step-children, Ken Mingle, Kevin (Laura) Mingle and Krista (Chris Mason) Mingle; twelve grandchildren, Matthew (Kristin) Laxson, Joey (India) Laxson, Daniel (Summer) Higgins, Justin (Pamela) Higgins, Austin (Patricia) De Leon, John Berry Brown, III, Penny Brown, Wesley Ray Brown, Mattie Mae Brown, Allison Mingle, Morgan (J.T.) Walls and Ava Mingle; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce (Charles) Stiles and Marguerite “Peggy” (Gary) Molloy and several nieces and nephews.

J.B. was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, served during the Cuban Missile Crises and lived life with enthusiasm and joy. His curiosity led him through many paths during his life, and he embraced each and every one of them with unbounded energy. He was professionally a computer engineer at AEDC in Tullahoma, TN and Intergraph Corporation in Huntsville, AL. He and his wife Ann were co-owners of Alabama Ammo, Inc. and Farmer Brown’s Hydroponic Gardens. His absence leaves a big void in the lives of his family, and our shared memories will always be a cherished part of our lives.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Chris Young officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
