John Curtis Broughton

Morrison, TN resident and Mesa, Arizona native John Curtis Broughton, age 73, was born November 22, 1947 and died July 19, 2021 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a short illness. A United States Army veteran of Vietnam, retired heavy equipment operator for Posen Construction Company in Utica, Michigan, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he was the son of the late Carl Allen and Drucilla Mae Jones Broughton. He was married to Loretta Smith on March 29, 1980. In addition to his wife, Mr. Broughton is survived by son, John Ryan Broughton of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Crystal Broughton Altherr of Mesa, AZ; three grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Les and Patti Broughton of Mesa, AZ; and cousins, Linda and Harvey Kuester of Richmond, MI.
