John Herschel Vaughn

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native John Herschel Vaughn, age 59, was born September 21, 1962 and died January 20, 2022 at his residence in Rock Island following a sudden illness. United Stated Navy veteran of the Gulf War, he was the son of the late James Estel and Ola Mae Jones Vaughn. He was married to Elaine Vaughn who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by sisters, Ola Ann Vaughn, Norma Louise Hill, Joyce Mae Allen, Branda Kay Fann, and Betty Jean Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn is survived by brothers, Kenneth Vaughn (Donna Taylor) of McMinnville, TN, Estel Lee (Gail) Vaughn of Smyrna, TN, and Eddie Vaughn of Spencer, TN; special nephew, Josh Fann of McMinnville, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held at a 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 in High's Chapel with Rev. Houston "Blue" Moore officiating.
