Murfreesboro, TN resident and Warren County native Johnnie C. Lusk Dillard, age 82, was born November 30, 1941 and died September 18, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.
A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Frank Duncan and Ada Rosena Starkey Lusk. Mrs. Dillard was married to Walter Lewis Dillard who preceded her in death on January 6, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Eva Lyons; son, Ricky Womack; grandson, Antwaun Smith; brothers, Howard, Donald and James Lusk and sister, Vera Thomas.
She is survived by daughters, Evelyn (James) Officer of McMinnville and Sandra (Allen) McKinley of Murfreesboro; sons, Barry (Anna) Dillard of Portland, OR, Jeff Womack of Memphis, Gary Womack of Murfreesboro and Danny Womack of McMinnville; sister, Juanita Taylor of Rock Island; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold (Louise) Lusk of Rock Island, Charles (Georgia) Lusk of McMinnville, Curtis (Rhonda) Lusk of Murfreesboro, Jerry Lusk of Murfreesboro, Margaret Lusk and Henrietta Lusk both of McMinnville and Minnie Battles of Murfreesboro; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 in High's Chapel with Chris Whitaker to officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High's.
