Johnnie Elizabeth Rhea

McMinnville resident and Crossville, TN native Johnnie Elizabeth Rhea, age 65, was born January 31, 1961 and died March 30, 2026 at her residence following an extended illness. 

A retired mailroom supervisor with the Southern Standard and a devoted member of McMinnville Independent Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Alice Campbell Farr. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. 

Ms. Rhea is survived by children, Tara Dixon of McMinnville, Jonathan Rhea of McMinnville and Frankie Pelham of Morrison, TN; grandchildren, Jesse (Carmen) Steakley, Ali Steakley, Braylen Steakley, Katelynn Qualls and Johanna Rhea; great-grandchildren, Iylah Steakley and Lainey Steakley; sister, Mary (Wayne) Muncey of Morrison, TN; brother, Robert Farr of McMinnville; father of her children, Houston Rhea and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 in High's Chapel with Brother Johnny Haston officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A private burial will be held at a later date.
