Joseph William Gedville

McMinnville, TN resident and Portsmouth, VA native Joseph William Gedville, age 50, was born December 29, 1974 and died October 5, 2025 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness.

A tire inspector for Bridgestone Firestone and a member of First Baptist Church, he was the son of James and Sharon Darden Gedville of Hampton, VA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He was married to Kadi Gedville of McMinnville, TN on September 3, 2005. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Gedville is survived by children, Elizabeth Gedville, Colton Gedville, Caleb Gedville and Cameron Gedville; brother, John (Trulee) Gedville of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Laura (Kat) Kisfoss of Hampton, VA and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Per Mr. Gedville’s wishes, he will be cremated. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at First Baptist Church in McMinnville, TN with Jeff Owens and John Templeton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at the church.
