Joyce Ann Vest Burgess Sanders

Joyce Ann Vest Burgess Sanders, age 80, a Carrollton, MS resident and Richmond, VA native was born November 22, 1940 and died April 25, 2021 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona, MS following a brief illness. She was a homemaker, and the daughter of the late Haywood and Blanche Townsend Vest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Clifford Burgess; second husband, Edward Sanders; son, Wade Burgess; two sisters, Phyllis Meredith, and Shirley Gammon; and niece, Sandra Beasley. Mrs. Sanders is survived by three children, Wes Burgess of Liberty, SC, Debbie Gersh of Carrollton, MS, and Mary Moss of Rockford, IL; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Three nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at High’s. Family and friends are to meet at cemetery on Thursday.
