McMinnville, TN resident and native Katherine Willene Bottoms, age 89, was born December 5, 1934 and died November 3, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of Shellsford Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Willie Green McBride. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Omega Aloi, Christine Needham and Jeri Hillis and brothers, Glyen McBride and Richard Rogers.

Mrs. Bottoms was married June 2, 1956 to Alton Everett Bottoms of McMinnville who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Teresa (John “Jay”) Walker of McMinnville; sons, Dwight (LuAnn) Bottoms and Johnny Bottoms both of McMinnville; grandson, Drew (Vanessa) Walker of Coral Springs, FL; great-grandchildren, Gideon, Grayson, Kingston, Willow and Piper Walker; sister, Joyce (Sid) Matheny of McMinnville and brother, James (Martha) McBride of McMinnville.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Shellsford Cemetery in Warren County with Drew Walker to officiate. There will be no service or visitation at High’s. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or Shellsford Cemetery Fund.
