Katherine Shirl Bain Griffith

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Katherine Shirl Bain Griffith, age 70, was born January 14, 1955 and died June 9, 2025 at Ascension Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.

A retired self-employed caregiver and of the Christian faith, Ms. Griffith was the daughter of the late Clayton Atnip and Annie Quilene Jones Bain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Randall Bain.

Ms. Griffith is survived by children, Veronica (Rick) Stepien of McMinnville, TN, Maranda Allen of Nashville, TN and John Thomas Clay Fults of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Lucas Jones Stepp and Emmy and Natalie Stepien; brother, Mark Bain of McMinnville, TN; nephew, Dylan Bain of McMinnville, TN and special friends, Steve Rice and Georgia Bain.

Ms. Griffith will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025 in High’s Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s. A private family inurnment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Viola Valley Dogs.
