Kathy Elaine King

Rock Island, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Kathy Elaine King, age 69, was born March 28, 1956 and died October 21, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin and Daisy Mae Taylor Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Olen Smith and David Button Smith and sisters, Sandra Nannalene Owens, Linda C. Dove and Retha Joan Smith.

Ms. King is survived by son, Shaun (Lisa) Presley of Rock Island, TN grandson, Steven Presley of Rock Island, TN; great-granddaughter, Lily Halliburton-Presley; sister, Freda (Ricky) Duggin of Rock Island, TN; brother, Dewey (Donna) Smith of McMinnville, TN and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
