Kenneth Joe Lyle, Sr.

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Kenneth Joe Lyle, Sr., age 87, was born May 14, 1938 and died May 9, 2026 at his residence.

A United States Air Force veteran, a 3rd Degree Master Mason, a retired Captain with the McMinnville Fire Department, and a member of Long Mountain Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Leascher and Eira Lyle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Susan DeLong; son, Theron Lyle; grandson, Joseph DeLong; great-grandson, Silvio Parent; sister, Frances Deceder and brother, Howard Lyle.

Mr. Lyle is survived by his wife, Ruth Lyle; son, Kenneth (Jeanne) Lyle, Jr.; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Carol) Lyle and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at High's.

Full military honors will be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
