Larry Elton Vinson

McMinnville, TN resident Larry Elton Vinson, age 66, was born September 17, 1955 and died June 25, 2022 at his residence following an extended illness. Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and served his Lord faithfully as a minister of 46 years with the Church of Christ. He was an elder, a song leader, bible school teacher, musician, lover of life and was a man of many talents. He worked with UPS and retired after 20 years of service. He is the son of the late, Elton Vinson and Marie Nation Vinson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law, Willie D. Wheeler and brother-in-law, Will Wheeler. Mr. Vinson leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Deborah Vinson of McMinnville, TN; son, Derek Lee Vinson of McMinnville, TN; daughter, Erica Danielle Vinson (Sam Salcido) of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Bryant and Britain Ralph and Raylee and Colton Vinson; sister, Vickie (Glen) Stockton of Cookeville, TN; mother-in-law, Yvonne Wheeler of McMinnville, TN; sister-in-law, Pam (David) Blackwell and nephews Bryan Stockton and Justin and Kenneth Blackwell. Memorial service will be held at Morrison Church of Christ on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. with Steve Hillis and Chris Perry officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at Morrison Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to F.C. Boyd Christian School.
