Laura Jeanne Busic

McMinnville, TN resident and Galax, VA native Laura Jeanne Busic, age 86, was born September 4, 1937 and died February 9, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a short illness.

A retired bookkeeper of 25 years with Central Oil Company, former employee of Warren County Furniture and of the Baptist faith, she was the daughter of the late John William and Joyce America Turney Reavis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joe'E Reavis and Bob (Joyce) Reavis and sister, Pat Reavis. 

She was married to Ed Busic of McMinnville, TN for 68 years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Busic is survived by children, Lynn (Don) Wells of Morrison, TN and Mark Busic of Rock Island, TN; grandchildren, Brandon (Ashlyn) Wells, Bethany (Marc) Wilson and Amy Busic; great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Cameron, Kyler, Mason, Keeli, Zoey and Presley; sister, Sandy McMillan of Georgia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Scottie (Brenda) Busic and Frankie (Bob) Jennings, both of Virginia; special nieces, Wendy McMillan and Pam (John) Tebbett and her beloved dog, Bella.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Johnny Newby officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
