Levoy "Simon" Leftrict, Jr.

Levoy “Simon” Leftrict, Jr. of McMinnville, TN passed away at the age of 54 on May 2, 2026, after an extended illness.

He was born on April 4, 1972, in McMinnville. He was the son of Pauline Leftrict and Levoy Leftrict, Sr.

He was raised in Oakland, CA and was a popular classmate at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, St. Patrick School, and St. Elizabeth High School. His childhood friends from Oakland became lifelong brothers. He loved playing and watching sports, video games, dining out, listening to music, especially his favorite rapper, Ice Cube, and playing pranks on his siblings. He loved to laugh, which made him easy to get along with. His laughter will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

He later moved back to Tennessee to be close to his parents.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Leftrict and great-niece, Taliyah Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jayla Leftrict; father, Levoy Leftrict, Sr.; sisters, Tonya Leftrict, Stacey Leftrict-Green, and Rhonda Leftrict; five nieces, two great-nieces, two nephews, two great-nephews; lifelong friends/brothers, Leroy Hurt, Curtis Sandeford, and Schegrun Clay; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt, TN.

Following the service, the family will hold a private gathering for immediate family only.
