McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Linda Ellen Hillis, age 80, was born October 17, 1943 and died June 11, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.
A retired hairdresser and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late William and Martha Allen Curtis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Bouldin, Madelynn Vance and Leona Hale and half-brother, Eddie Christian.
Mrs. Hillis was married December 17, 1984 to Conny Hillis of McMinnville who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Michael (Melissa) Slatten of Murfreesboro, TN; two grandchildren, Haley Martin of Rockvale, TN and Morgan Slatten of Murfreesboro, TN and sister, June Rogers of Spencer, TN. Nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service and entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Hebron Cemetery with Candace Brewer to officiate. There will be no service or visitation held at High's. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
