Linda Sue McDowell

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Linda Sue Couch McDowell, age 84, was born October 8, 1940 and died October 1, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

A long-time employee of Formfit-Rogers silk mill and a member of Jericho Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lida Mae Bost Couch. She was married to James C. McDowell who preceded her in death on June 3, 2011.

In addition to parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Gerald Couch on January 28, 2011 and niece, Selena Couch.

She is survived by brothers, Joe (Janie) Couch of Clarksville, TN and Willard "Buddy" Couch of McMinnville, TN; sister-in-law, Peggy Couch; nephews, Tommy (Angela) Couch of Brentwood, TN and Mark Couch of Clarksville, TN; niece, Angela (Brent) Bauer of Clarksville, TN; great-nephews, Dustin Couch and A.D. Majors, both of McMinnville, TN and Garrett Bauer of Clarksville, TN and best friend, Terrie Clark of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Doug Bost and Samual Bain officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
