Preceded in death by father Lee Duncan, mother Burton Spain Duncan, sister Carolyn Sue Duncan Tynes and brother-in-law Dorsey H. Tynes.
Survived by daughter Vickie Pewitt and son-in-law Les Pewitt of Franklin, son Andrew Rhodes of Indiana, son Richard Rhodes Jr and daughter-in-law Noelle Rhodes of Colorado, granddaughters Sydney and Sarah Pewitt, and grandson Carter Rhodes.
She was a member of Central Church of Christ. She was Salutatorian of the first graduating class of McMinnville City High School and attended David Lipscomb College. She was retired from AmSouth Bank (now Regions) and was Branch Manager of all three local offices. She was a long time member of Evening Exchange Club, Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority, Black House Board, Tennessee State Button Society, General Coffey Button Society, and three out of state button clubs.
For a number of years she spent a great deal of time sewing, and sold her needlework at Foothills Crafts in Manchester and at many area craft fairs. She was an avid collector and had large collections of books, antique dolls, buttons, vintage linens and many other items in which she had an interest.
She had a life well lived.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2026 in High's Chapel with Doug Bost officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
