Linda Rachel Short

McMinnville, TN resident and Rutherford County, TN native Linda Rachel Short, age 57, was born June 27, 1969 and died August 19, 2026 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro following an extended illness. 

A former employee of Domino's Pizza in McMinnville, she was the daughter Katherine Dianne Lynn of McMinnville. Ms. Short was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Wayne Church; grandmother, Betty Short and great-grandparents, Lebern & Ruby Powell. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by brother, James McGlothen of McMinnville; sister, Jamie (Wally) Rhea of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Kim Lynn; nephew, Andrew (Angel) Turner of McMinnville as well as several other nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins. Linda loved music, singing, kayaking and could play banjo, guitar, and several other instruments by ear. She dearly loved her family, friends and animals. 

Per her wishes, Ms. Short will be cremated. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High's with a private inurnment to follow.
