Lue Edith Dodson

Doyle, TN resident and Quebeck, TN native Lue Edith Dodson, age 94, was born September 1, 1930 and died July 14, 2025 at her residence following a brief illness.

A homemaker and longtime member of Laurel Creek Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Atnip Hutchings. She was married to Daniel Lee Dodson on January 16, 1954 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Janice Ann Dodson and siblings, Tom Hutchings, Ray Roberts, Elsie Horton and James William Hutchings.

Mrs. Dodson is survived by son, Doug (Mollie) Dodson of the Bone Cave Community; daughter, Belinda (Tommy) Barnett of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Cori (Jimmy) Williams of Sparta, TN and Christopher Dodson of Doyle, TN; great-grandchild, Tuff Williams and soon to be Walker Williams; siblings, Ruby Hutchings and Wayne (Debbie) Hutchings, all of Doyle, TN and several nieces, nephews and special in-laws also survive.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Beech Cove Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery on Wednesday.
