Margaret Cathey

Margaret Cathey, age 86, a Morrison, TN resident and Wynoose, Illinois native, was born February 24, 1935 and died December 1, 2021 following an extended illness. She was a retired secretary at Carrier Corporation, a member of Morrison First Baptist Church, and preceded in death by husband, Billy Reece Cathey; son, Jeffery Cathey; and daughter, Mary Lou Davidson. Mrs. Cathey is survived by son and spouse, Greg and Helen Cathey of Morrison, TN; four grandchildren, Justin (Heather) Cathey of McMinnville, TN, Judith (Bayardo) Lopez of Miami, FL, Alex Davidson of Murfreesboro, TN, and Eric Davidson of McMinnville, TN; great-grandchild, Abigail Cathey; one brother, Joseph (Jean) Miller of Nobel, Illinois; brother-in-law, Don (Martha) Cathey of McMinnville, TN; two sisters-in-law, Dot Cathey and Emma Cathey both of McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and best friend, Emma Jean Hullett also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Jerry Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County.
