Margaret Katherine Davis

McMinnville resident and San Angelo, TX native Margaret Katherine Davis, age 93, was born September 9, 1929, and died August 18, 2023 at her residence following a short illness. A retired Maintenance Record Keeper with MATES in Fort Hood, TX and a member of First Baptist Church in McMinnville, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Robert and Amanda Elizabeth Lowrance Jones. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her Husband Benjamin Franklin Davis, Jr.; sons Benjamin Franklin Davis III and Robert Wayne Davis; sister Eunice Grinstead and brother C. R. Jones. Mrs. Davis is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Marsha (Tom) Ward of McMinnville; Leslie (Victor) Babecki of Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren Charlie (Melissa) Furbee, Brent (Maria) Davis, Justin Furbee, Michael (Michelle) Babecki, Laura (Matt) Campbell, and Jana (Caleb) Kirchoff; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Bo Hendrix officiating. No visitation will be held at High’s and family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Magness Memorial Library.
