Marguerite Newby Loudermilk

Marguerite Newby Loudermilk a McMinnville, TN, resident and Warren County native was born April 27, 1941 and passed from this life at her residence on July 1, 2021. At five years old, in light of her mother’s earlier, untimely death she went to live in Ferndale, Michigan, with her brother Dick and his wife Dorothy. She called them mom and dad and their children, Barbara, Joyce and Arthur sisters and brother. She lived with them until she graduated from Hazel Park High School in 1959. Then she worked at TRW as a bookkeeper in Michigan. She met and married William Loudermilk, and in 1968 they moved to McMinnville, TN, where she was a member of Central Church of Christ. Together in 1971, they opened Roma Pizza Parlor and enjoyed serving McMinnville residents and surrounding counties for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, entertaining, and cooking for her family and extended family whenever possible. Her heart was truly to serve and love others. Marguerite is survived by husband of 62 years, William Loudermilk, 3 children, and their spouses: Lisa Bell (Martin), Wyatt Loudermilk (Tina), and Garner Loudermilk (Kole). Two grandchildren Christian Alexander Loudermilk and Calleigh Bella Loudermilk. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Thurman and Ocie Bell Redmon Newby. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Josie Newby, Bessie Palmer Atnip (Ralph), Arthur “Dick” Newby (Dorthy), Luceal King (Tommy), J.T. Newby (Faye), Naomi Waller (Chick), James “Jim” Newby (Marge), Faye Bice (Hank), Joe Newby (Ruby), Jean Newby, Wayne Newby (Deanna), and Jack Newby (Shirley). She also has many nieces, nephews, and their children that shared a wonderful, deep love for each other. The memorial service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Hwy 56 N. Church of Christ located at 3897 New Smithville Hwy in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be from 9:00am - 10:00am. The service will begin at 10:00. Son-in-law Martin Bell to officiate.
