Mariecha Lee McCormick

McMinnville, TN resident and Tullahoma, TN native Mariecha Lee McCormick, age 87, was born December 17, 1938 and died March 23, 2026 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness.

A homemaker and cook at Hardees and member of First Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee and Nellie Lee Lewis Bates. She was married to Richard RT McCormick on February 24, 1956 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Terry McCormick; siblings, Vernon Joe McCormick and Beverly Eubanks; daughter-in-law, Linda McCormick and son-in-law, Dale Delong.

Mrs. McCormick is survived by children, Betty (Mike) Johnson of Murfreesboro, Garry McCormick, Jerry (Verna) McCormick, Deborah Roller, Wanda (Robin) Wright, Connie Delong, Melissa Smith and Tamisha (Carl) Burgess, all of McMinnville, TN and Timmy (Virginia) McCormick of Spencer, TN; twenty grandchildren; thirty three great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and siblings, Nathern Eugene Bates, Linda Bates, Brenda (Carl David) McGinness, David (Barbara) Bates, Ricky (Louise) McCormick and Bobby McCormick, all of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Sammy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
