Mary Helen Henson Cherry

Mary Helen Henson Cherry, age 90, a McMinnville, TN resident and Detroit, MI native was born January 13, 1931 and died August 21, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a retired assembly worker at Oster Corporation, a member of the Smartt Assembly of God, and the daughter of the late Joseph and Amy Ruby Watson Henson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Cherry; son, Robert "Bobby" Cherry, Jr.; sisters, Ellen Zuelig and Edna Stentson; brother, Johnny Henson and sons-in-law, Tony Lawson & Leon Walker. Mrs. Cherry is survived by daughters, Mary Jane Lawson of Tullahoma, TN, Patricia (Robert) Fuller of Cookeville, TN, Linda (Morris) Hillis of McMinnville, TN, Wanda Walker of McMinnville, TN, and Sheila (Steve) Greer of Trade, TN. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in High's Chapel with Chuck Catalfu officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at High's.
