Mary Teresa Reed

McMinnville, TN resident and Beaufort, SC native Mary “Teresa” Smead Reed, age 64, was born May 21, 1957 and died February 16, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was a United States Marine veteran, retired from USDA, APHIS, PPQ and a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Gordon and Carol Christensen Smead; maternal grandmother, Mary Josephine Christensen; nephew, Leonard “Lenny” Allen Frisby; brothers-in-law, Larry Frisby, James P Martin, Richard Burns and Stanton Minton and nephew-in-law, Randy Dodson. She is survived by siblings, Gordon Allen (Glenda Sue) Smead, II of Nashville, TN, Darlene Minton of Rock Island, Laurie Frisby of McMinnville and John C Smead of Murfreesboro; nephew, Larry Frisby, II of Tullahoma and James P Martin, II of McMinnville; nieces, Eva (Karam) Alsi of Rock Island, Lucille Bradford of McMinnville, Dawn Knight of Tullahoma and Suzanne Cardwell (James) of Manchester; nephew, Gordon Burns of Florida and great-nephews, Cody L. (Hailey) Frisby and Gunny Bradford of McMinnville, Nate Dodson of Rock Island and Kathryn Cardwell. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with Father Bala officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
