Mary Juanita Underwood

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Mary Juanita Underwood, age 91, was born November 19, 1934 and died February 10, 2026 at her residence following a brief illness.

A homemaker and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Lou Edith Davenport Simpson. She was married on December 6, 1953 to James William Underwood who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Brown, James, Earnest and Bernard Simpson.

She is survived by children, Jeffery H. Underwood, Darrell W. Underwood and Diane Mingle all of McMinnville, TN; four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026 in High’s Chapel with Rodney Whiles officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
